I have been told by other artists that I need to find a specialty or a style and only create from that perspective. I refuse because I have a desire to create and try everything.

Amy Gregory Studio was created a few decades too late. I waited until I was older because I questioned my talent. Even though others commented on my artwork with praise, I was my biggest critique. I’m learning to enjoy the process now. I love trying new mediums and gathering tricks for technique. So for the people who want to criticize – go ahead. You are not saying anything new. But how amazing it would be if you would just choose to collaborate instead!

Who am I?

There are many words that come to mind when I try to describe who I am. {married, christian, scarred, mother, friend, employee, curious, goober, adventurous} I believe my narrative would be the word “becoming.” I am a life-long learner.

Jim Moore

Husband

Jim Moore, aka Paul & James & Sir-Talks-Alot, was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He moved to Knoxville in 2010. He received a degree from the University of Memphis in Construction Management, and from State Tech in 1992 in Civil Engineering Technology and a Bachelors in Construction Management. Jim is currently working as the Senior Estimator for Lane Valente Industries. Jim is an avid motorcyclist that has a couple of Harley Heritage Springers and likes refurbishing Jeep Grand Wagoneers. Currently Jim has become a culinary genius. He has a morbid fascination of all things weird.

Joseph Yoakum

Son

Joseph Yoakum, aka Mr. Joe, was born in Morganton, North Carolina. He grew up in Marion which is east of Asheville. He joined the Army at the age of Nineteen. He was stationed at Fort Benning and Fort Stewart where he served in Infantry and is now a SSG and works as a Spectrum Manager. He is the father of two boys, and has served a tour in Iraq and Afghanistan. Joseph currently resides in South Carolina. Joseph has a gift of telling a good story better than Walt Whitman. He loves all things space and loves being outdoors. (Don’t call him GI Joe – he doesn’t like it)

Joshua Yoakum

Son

Joshua Yoakum was born in Maryville, Tennessee. He grew up in Marion, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He moved back to Tennessee in 2015 and received a degree from the University of Tennessee. He is currently employed as a Civil Engineer for Stanley D. Linsey and Associates in Nashville, TN. Joshua loves to play golf but will not share his handicap. He loves to workout at Orange Theory, and he has seen more Dave Matthews concerts than the average human being. He tends to beat everyone playing Jeopardy so don’t waste your time challenging him.

What is coming Up?

Stained Glass. This has been on my bucket list since I was 22 years old. I never could find anyone to teach me. So I’m going to teach myself with the help of my fellow you-tubers. I have spent the last four months purchasing all the equipment. So let’s go through it together one step at a time. Start date is June 2023..
