I forgot to take a “before” photo.
First piece that I painted on the inside too.
Purchased for $35 off the marketplace
This piece I wanted to keep. Look at that top! Looks like butter.
I love that top. Dixie Belle chalk paint. Easy. The top of this is a poo poo color and then two shades of gel.
Turned these into night stands. It is difficult to tell in this photo, but they are a pale blue. Dixie Belle chalk paint and the same technique of poo poo on the top with two colors of gel.
This was purchased on the marketplace for $30. It had some great lines to it that made it look updated.
Painted it with Dixie Belle chalk paint and then sanded off the edges to give it a more contemporary look.
That color is so beautiful.
Here is another piece that I purchased off the marketplace. The funny thing on this refurbish is the knobs cost more than the furniture.
Outdated bathroom cabinetry. Old ooky orange-looking wood.
Dixie Belle chalk paint with gel in the corner. I made it match the shelves over the commode.
This was an end table that my mom had when she got married in 1958. The wood was very thin.
Dixie Belle chalk paint. I distressed the edges to make it match in my living room. Kept this one!
This was in horrible condition. There were so many stains on top I was not sure if I could cover it. Looking back now, I wished I had changed out the hardware.
Dixie Belle chalk paint. I distressed the edges. Even though you cannot see the top, know that I used the poo poo on the top with two colors of gel stain.
This is our kitchen table. I inherited it from my husband. It was in really bad condition. And he had been making leather watch straps on top of it which made it even worse. I sanded it and filled in some holes.
I put a light blue stain over the whole piece. This served as a background color that matched the rest of the house..
Final piece. I put black polyurethane on top to match the handrail to the steps in the house. I was very pleased with how this turned out, but I think that I may need to do a touch-up this summer. We are a little hard on that table.
