Acrylic was a medium that took me awhile to master. I thought it was those little bottles of paint they sold in the craft isle at Walmart. I didn’t even realize they sold tubes of acrylic paint in the art stores. I thought it was oil paint and would always walk around it. Then one day I discovered acrylics! You can use it on almost any surface. I have painted metal saws, cornhole boards, and even watercolor paper. You have acrylics that will stick to glass or even epoxy. You can purchase acrylic pens that can write on objects. I couldn’t get my colors to blend until I found there was a medium you could use with your acrylics to keep them wet longer. That helped me learn to manipulate the colors and the layering. Acrylics are easy to seal so they can stay out in the weather longer. I loved painting cornhole boards. It was easy once you do the math, graph everything out, and plan your layers.
